What is your name?
My name is Qingchun Qin. I am currently pursuing my master's degree at Oral Roberts University and am also pursuing the FACE (Foundation for American Christian Education) certification to deepen my understanding of the Principle Approach.
What do you teach?
I teach 1st and 2nd grade.
How many years have you taught at True Foundation?
This is my first year teaching at True Foundation.
What do you appreciate most about the Principle Approach?
What I appreciate most about the Principle Approach is that it places Christ and God’s Word at the center of education. Rather than simply teaching facts, it integrates Scripture into every subject, helping students develop a biblical worldview and understand that all truth come from God.
What do you see in your students that is most encouraging?
What encourages me most is seeing students learn to reason from Scripture. When they have questions or face challenges, they know to seek answers in God’s Word and apply biblical principles to their lives. It’s also encouraging to see them learn to bring their fears, struggles, and emotions to the Lord, knowing that He is their source of peace, comfort, and hope. Seeing students grow in this kind of faith reminds me that God is at work in their hearts, and that’s the greatest encouragement to me as a teacher.
Why do you love teaching at True Foundation?
I love teaching at True Foundation because the school’s philosophy is truly Christ-centered. Everything is rooted in God’s Word, and I love that our goal is to help students grow not only academically but also spiritually by developing a biblical worldview. I also believe that God led me to True Foundation. Finally, I have been deeply encouraged by the love, grace, and kindness of our principal and fellow teachers. I can see the fruit of Christ in the way they serve and care for others.
How do you teach Biblical worldview in your classroom?
I love teaching a biblical worldview by helping students see that God’s truth is the foundation for every subject and every part of life. I want them to learn to reason from Scripture, so when they have questions or face challenges, their first response is to ask, “What does God say about this?” and to seek His wisdom in His Word. I also strive to model Christ’s love and create a classroom where biblical values are lived out every day.
What do you think most students appreciate about your class?
I think most students appreciate the care and encouragement they receive in my classroom. I want every student to know that they are valued, loved, and created by God with a purpose. I try to build relationships with my students and create a classroom environment where they feel safe to learn, ask questions, and grow.
What is unique about you, your talents, or your interests that you bring to the classroom?
One unique thing I bring to the classroom is my cross-cultural experience and my 14 years of teaching experience in China. I have a passion for helping students learn, grow, and see the world from a biblical perspective. I hope to use my experiences and gifts to encourage students and help them discover God’s truth in their learning.
What have you seen in your students over the years that has touched your heart the most?
What has touched my heart the most over the years is seeing students grow, not only in their knowledge but also in their character. I love seeing students gain confidence, overcome challenges, and discover their own gifts. The most meaningful moments are when I see students becoming more kind, responsible, and willing to encourage others.
